COMMUNITY SERVICE

Recently students, assisted by staff, finished several community service projects including: a deck above Whatcom Creek in Bellingham; a hand washing station for the Whatcom County Health Department; and, constructed Barn Owl rearing boxes to promote the survival of these ecologically important birds in Whatcom County.

Home Port students have also built a model septic tank for Whatcom County Health Dept. and a hand washing station for the Health Department's Educational booth at the NW Washington fair. Students also participate in numerous marine clean-ups every year.
